What are well-known agent discovery files?

They are standard files at fixed paths that AI agents, crawlers and registries look for to discover what a site offers: /.well-known/ai-catalog.json (Agentic Resource Discovery), /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json (MCP server), /.well-known/agent-card.json (A2A agent), plus /llms.txt and /agents.md, and robots.txt for AI-crawler access. This checker fetches all of them and reports what's present, valid or missing.

Why does agent discoverability matter?

AI agents don't browse like people — they read machine-readable files. If your discovery files are missing, agents can't find your MCP server, call your agent, or read a curated map of your site, so you're invisible to the agentic web even if your pages rank in normal search.
